The Bergstrasse is my region. My studio, CycleFit Europe, is in Bensheim, right in the middle of it. For riders from Heppenheim, Zwingenberg, Auerbach, Lorsch or Weinheim, the trip is short. You work directly with me, Lloyd Thomas, in every session.
That is a real difference from a fit in a distant city. You get there quickly, and you still get a thorough one-to-one analysis rather than a quick standard measurement.
Why a position on the Bergstrasse has to work across two worlds
If you ride here, you know both. To the west lies the Rhine plain with flat, fast rolling. To the east the Odenwald begins, with climbs like the Melibokus or the Felsberg.
A position that only stays calm on the flat often falls apart on the climb. So I look at how you sit under load, how stable the pelvis stays, and how you take pressure on the way up and down.
What happens in the session
I start with your body and your movement, not with a template. Then I analyse the bike under realistic load and make the adjustments in a sensible order.
- Movement screening before the on-bike analysis
- On-bike analysis under load
- Adjustments to saddle, cleats and cockpit during the session
- Clear priorities rather than many changes at once
- Fit report with the final measurements
Places on the Bergstrasse
Many riders come from the towns nearby. For a specific starting point, the individual pages help.
