The partnership
The best proof of good work isn’t a logo on the wall. It’s a rider who keeps coming back, year after year.
I started with Michael when he was still a U23 rider at Rabobank, just off his U23 World Championship title. Since then I’ve worked with him through most of his professional career — through the sprint years in the green jersey, through Grand Tour stages, and into the time-trial position.
Michael is one of the most professional and hard-working riders I’ve ever met. That’s exactly what makes the work so worthwhile: it’s never about a quick fix, but about a position that holds up under real load — refined season after season with the same measured method.
Over the years we’ve worked across the whole interface between rider and bike: the position, the contact points, and custom insoles. It’s a privilege to be a small part of his success — and every appointment I take gets the same care, whether it’s a world-class rider or a first season on the bike.
